It was powerful, healing, and allowed me to feel connections to my ancestors and the plants that I’ve never experienced before. It gave me life. Cooking was amazing because I don’t cook but loved learning how cooking can be a flow of creativity and I loved that our meals were plant based. Also really enjoyed the first day meditations.

When people speak of “ancestral trauma” or “the trauma you are experiencing is not always yours,” it can seem really broad and overwhelming. What Angela did was break down precisely WHOSE trauma was housed in me. This provided me with a lot of clarity as to what steps to take to create healing for both myself AND this particular ancestor. It was helpful in creating boundaries with my ancestor. It was also a testament as to why this ancestor chose me to house their soul…because I had the strength within me to do the work to heal the both of us…to be discerning about what is mine and what is theirs to hold.
My session with Angela was an amazing, emotional exchange!! I cannot fully put into words the feelings of relief, understanding, liberation, and celebration I felt when conversing with my guides and ancestors. I am leaving with the DEEPEST desire to honor my ancestors and guides and with a lot of clarity on how to do so in a way that also honors myself as an individual, living ancestor. Life changing…The experiential aspects of the class in tasting, smelling, preparing medicinal herbs, cooking with herbs is a very valuable approach in getting an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the subject matter. I can’t recommend the work of Angela Angel enough. I have a few trusted mediums and energy workers I see, but what I have come to understand is that every practitioner, as gifted as they may be, carries a different frequency, vocabulary and lineage. As a pinxy womxn raised in America, there was a deep resistance to identifying with my roots for a long time; I feared I would be reduced to a “nationality.” Through my work with Angela, I was able to connect to a star ancestry who opened my heart up, my inner remembering of who I truly am. The ability and privilege to reconnect with my cosmic origin and the frequency of my guides was and continues to be profoundly healing. I have had two sessions with Angela, in which my spirit babies have come to speak with me, the lolos who have blessed me with their Magic carrying gifts and my ancestors who have blanketed me in comfort by telling me that I am more than enough. Like true loving guides, rather than giving me the answers or presenting me with fantasies, the guides came through with loving messages about what they could reveal, as well as some of the work that was truly my own, including being able to step into a completely unknown space. Angela was able to address specific questions about my health, soul contracts and lineage as well as make a welcoming space for the light beings and magical beings who had something to share.
Angela has a beautiful resonance with the earth and a deep respect for nature that allows the truths that come through to be multidimensional and nontransactional. We also did a water ceremony to heal my waters and the waters of my inner child which I often listen to on a recording when I need to remember my innate wholeness. Angela works with deep respect and integrity. She always has a softness in delivering the messages of our loved ones and higher selves and I particularly recommend her for those who feel a deep resonance with nature, becoming a space holder or who are of pinxy origin.

This workshop was a paradigm shift in understanding how we see ourselves and the invisible cages we are all trapped in called capitalism, the long lasting structure of colonialism. I needed to hear about the institutions that control our mind, body and spirit – religion, state, prison, western medicine, education etc… I feel so far removed from herbs, plants, fungi and roots, this was an introductory crash course my soul craves for more. I am so grateful for what I have learned and it has already shifted how I begin conversations on wellness. This course gave me a framework and confidence to begin this important conversation in our community. We do not need to rely on western psychotropic drugs to heal from PTSD, this oppression and dependency on pharmaceuticals still shackles the burden of intergenerational trauma on our shoulders.

My experience was life-changing. Angela spoke to my ancestors of 8 centuries ago, and they reminded me of who I was and where I came from. They washed away centuries of barriers that were plaguing my family for centuries. My grandmother baptized me in the river of Oshun and reminded me that I needed to continue replenishing myself. It was a great experience and Angela was there to answer my questions throughout the process.
