Love is my keeper
I shall not want.
this one is always a classic reminder or just an overall great song in remembrance of who we are.
there was a HUGE part of me that in the wake of trying to control the truth of what is ahead for humanity I replied deeply with fear and love at the same time: I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE CHILDREN. WHO WOULD WANT TO BRING CHILDREN INto THIS WORLD? this fear-based love and love-based fear, i would call it– actually was/is a growing trend among many of us. but there’s a different kind of hope that is changing my mind now.
i was mistaken.
HAVE PLENTY OF BABIES!
angels need to be born.
The desire of love is to give. The desire of lust is to get.
The way of love is not
a subtle argument.
The door there
Birds make great sky-circles
of their freedom.
How do they learn it?
They fall, and falling,
they’re given wings.
-but of course, the beloved one and only Rumi.
the first time I heard Pharoah I couldn’t figure out if I should smile or cry. A genius of the heart— you could say he is on my top 5 list of greats. HAPPY 70th Mr. Sanders.
“This is a gathering of Lovers.
In this gathering there is no high, no low,
no smart, no ignorant, no special assembly,
no grand discourse, no proper schooling required.
There is no master, no disciple.
This gathering is more like a drunken party,
full of tricksters, fools, mad men and mad women.
This is a gathering of Lovers.”
“A true Lover doesn’t follow any one religion,
be sure of that.
Since in the religion of Love,
there is no irreverence or faith.
When in Love,
body, mind, heart and soul don’t even exist.
Become this, fall in Love,
and you will not be separated again.”
— Jalaluddin Rumi AD 1260
