This vice is rooted in the satisfaction that the ego feels from recognizing itself as being smart. To doubt is another vice rooted in our emotional center which gets satisfied by its own torments. A tormented emotional center acts like an addict; it is not interested in being replaced by the peace that lives in the silence of Spirit.
